A 1,200 acre estate featuring a Greek Revivial mansion that was the last home of former Virginia Governor Westmoreland Davis. Oatlands, a co-stewardship property of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, offers guided tours of its Antebellum Plantation including a circa 1804 mansion, a four acre terraced garden, and numerous 19th century dependence buildings including the circa 1810 greenhouse. Oatlands also offers two gift shops featuring unique gift and gardening items. Perfect site for elegant weddings, social gatherings, or smaller corporate meetings.

The Udvar-Hazy Center is the Smithsonian Institution`s National Air and Space Museum companion center near Dulles International Airport. The 760,000-square-foot hangar facility has 80 aircraft and spacecraft on display now, and will eventually display over 200 aircraft and 135 spacecraft. The museum also features an observation tower from which visitors can watch air traffic at Dulles Airport, a large-format IMAX theater, flight simulators, and a museum store.

Middleburg, the nation’s horse and hunt capital, is the home of many horses and equestrians. The horse theme carries through its retail establishments with names such as Cuppa Giddyup, a local coffee shop. Middleburg offers unique shopping including tack stores, art galleries, and antique and specialty shops. The Red Fox Inn, a popular inn and a restaurant, is one of the region’s oldest. Many celebrities have chosen Middleburg as their home because of its charm, and celebrity sightings are not uncommon. Middleburg is located along Route 50, John Mosby Highway, named after the Confederate Colonel who used Middleburg as a base camp during the Civil War.
